James Jorgensen each launched home runs as part of an 11-hit evening for Jesuit Dallas, helping lead the Rangers to a 12-0 shutout win over Nimitz on Tuesday at Wright Field. The Rangers will carry an 11-1 district record into its penultimate district series against MacArthur, which begins on Friday night.
Jorgensen finished the contest 3-for-3 from the plate with three RBI, while Strong tacked on five RBI on a 2-for-3 night. In total, four Rangers tallied multi-hit performances, as senior

Jake Fults scattered two hits apiece. Fults drove in two runs, Barber added a run of his own and joined junior
Cameron Davis as Rangers that picked up doubles against the Vikings.
Sophomore
Dillon Brandt earned his fifth win of the year, striking out six over four innings and only allowing two hits. Fults took over on the mound, throwing a hitless fifth inning and striking out the final out of the game to clinch the win for the Blue and Gold.
Jesuit will return to action on Friday, where the Rangers will begin competition against MacArthur. The Cardinals enter the weekend series fifth in the district standings with a 5-7 district record and a 15-10-1 overall mark, most recently dropping a pair of games to Highland Park, 7-2 on Apr. 15 and 12-1 on Apr. 18. Friday's game will also serve as senior night, as the Rangers will recognize the nine members of their graduating class. The senior night ceremony will take place between the conclusion of the junior varsity contest and the 7 p.m. varsity first pitch.
