Jesuit Dallas senior
Luke Isett fired a no-hitter on Friday, celebrating senior night in style while helping Jesuit to a 3-0 win over MacArthur at Wright Field. The Rangers will carry a 12-1 district mark into the series finale on Saturday after the stellar performance from Isett helped Jesuit's three-run third stick for the victory.
Isett struck out seven batters in the outing, allowing only two walks and finishing the contest one batter shy of the minimum. The senior Navarro College commit improves his record to 7-0 on the season and will carry a 0.82 earned run average into his next start after recording a season-high in strikeouts on Friday.
In the third inning, sophomore
Jake Fults broke the scoreless tie with a single up the middle that plated senior
Weston Okamoto for Jesuit's first run of the game. Senior
Dominic Migliore and junior
Tristen Bird forced back-to-back, bases loaded walks, plating Fults and senior
Jonah Timmons to provide the Rangers a three-run lead. Freshman
Braxton Barber and Okamoto added additional base hits to the team's total.
Jesuit will head to Irving on Saturday to close the season series against the Cardinals. The first pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. from MacArthur H.S.
