MacArthur scored two runs in the first, one in the second and five in the third, and a late push from Jesuit fell one run short as the Rangers dropped a 6-5 bout to the Cardinals on Saturday at MacArthur H.S.

On the mound, junior
Joe Allen threw 1.2 innings and struck out three while allowing three runs on four hits. Barr took over in the second inning, striking out four over 4.1 innings of work.
Jesuit will now head into its final district series of the season as the Rangers will battle Richardson. The Eagles are currently 3-11 in district play and 4-23 overall, entering the series following back-to-back losses against Highland Park. Richardson's last win came on Apr. 18, when the Eagles upended Irving, 18-6. First pitch on Tuesday is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
