Jesuit Dallas was out-scored, 21-12 in the first quarter, as a determined Wildcat front court effort shot 57.4 percent en route to handing the Rangers a 62-51 setback on Tuesday at Lake Highlands H.S.

Michael Grant led the way for the Rangers with 20 points, followed by a 15-point performance by senior
Tre Mergerson. Grant also led the team in rebounding, grabbing eight boards for the Blue and Gold while Mergerson added seven rebounds to the effort. Junior

Hank Gramlich picked up four points and senior
Alec Piotrowski scored three points. Grant also led the team with three steals while Gramlich and Piotrowski each secured two assists.
Jesuit closed the gap in the second quarter, out-scoring the Wildcats, 15-12, but Lake Highlands responded by holding the Rangers to four points in the third, building a 13-point lead heading into the fourth quarter.
The Rangers will return to action on Friday, when Jesuit hosts J.J. Pearce at Walsh Gym. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
