Jesuit Dallas secured its first district win of the season on Friday, upending MacArthur, 62-42, at Walsh Gym in its final home game prior to the new year.

The Rangers were anchored by another double-digit performance by senior
Michael Grant, who scored 24 points, shot 10-of-13 from the floor, and added six rebounds alongside three assists. Senior
Charlie Peters led the team with eight rebounds, tacking on seven points to the team total while senior
Kevin Butera picked up nine points. Senior

Robert Prager capped the scoring with three points and two points, respectively. Jensen and Peters added three assists apiece while Grant led the team with three steals.

Jesuit out-rebounded MacArthur, 32-22 and recorded 12 points on second-chance opportunities. The Ranger defense frustrated the Cardinals throughout the evening, holding MacArthur to a 29.8 clip from the field and 3-of-20 shooting from three-point range.

Following the Christmas holiday, Jesuit will return to the hardwood for the 2024 Lewisville Round Robin, a two-day invitational that will take place on Dec. 27 and Dec. 28. Jesuit will open the invitational against Mesquite Poteet and Little Elm at 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively on December 27 at Hebron H.S. The invitational will conclude on December 28 as Jesuit will take on Frisco Wakeland at 9 a.m. at Hebron before traveling to Lewisville at 3 p.m. to battle the hosting Fighting Farmers.
