Jesuit Dallas baseball began the 2024 season with a pair of shutout victories, securing an 11-0 win in five innings over Plano West before upending Burleson Centennial, 3-0, in the nightcap of day one at the Duncanville Panther Invitational.

Against Plano West, junior
Asher Levy picked up his first career varsity win, throwing a five-inning, complete game three-hitter while striking out four batters. Junior
E'Mar Fleming II finished the contest with a team-high three RBI, launching his first varsity home run in the first inning, a three-run blast that gave the Blue and Gold a 4-0 lead. Sophomore
Braxton Barber closed out the contest 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs and a triple. Sophomore
Shane Parker and senior
Nathan Robles each recorded a double, Parker drove in two runs, and the trio of senior
Cameron Davis, sophomore
James Jorgensen and Robles picked up one RBI apiece.

In the nightcap against Burleson Centennial, junior
Dillon Brandt struck out eight batters in his 2024 debut, throwing the team's second complete game of the day. Brandt hurled a one-hitter and only walked one batter, finishing the contest four batters away from facing the minimum. Jesuit's first run came in the second inning as senior
Tristen Bird launched a single to center that plated
James Jorgensen, and the Rangers followed that up with a pair of runs in the fifth. Sophomore
Taylor Haddock launched a single to left, scoring Fults before scoring on a single from Fleming.

Jesuit will return to action on Friday, Feb. 23, as the Rangers continue their run at the Duncanville Panther Invitational. The Rangers' double-header starts against North Forney at 1 p.m., followed by a matchup against Naaman Forest at 4 p.m.
