The Ranger baseball team improved to 4-0 on the year following a Friday sweep at the Duncanville Panther Invitational, held at Duncanville H.S. The Rangers defeated North Forney, 9-2, in their first game of the day before securing their third shutout of the tournament, 2-0, over Naaman Forest in the nightcap.
 
Jesuit finished the contest with seven unanswered runs, plating three in the third, one in the fourth and two in the sixth en route to the win. Junior

Taylor Haddock each picked up two hits, with Fults launching a double and triple for the Rangers. Haddock, Jorgensen, and senior 
Tristen Bird drove in one run for the Rangers, while Haddock and sophomore 
Braxton Barber scored two runs apiece. Sophomore 
James Jorgensen earned his first win of the season, hurling three innings for the Rangers and striking out five batters. Junior 
Brayden Montes threw four innings in relief for the Rangers, striking out three and only allowing two hits.
 
Barber went 3-for-3 at the plate against Naaman Forest, scoring the Rangers' first run of the ballgame in the bottom of the opening inning. Sophomore 
Charlie Wilson launched his first home run of the season in the second inning for Jesuit's second run of the contest. Junior 
Patrick Brady earned the victory, hurling 6.1 innings of quality work and only allowing two hits while striking out 10 batters. Fults entered the game in the bottom of the seventh, striking out both batters he faced to clinch the win for Jesuit.
 
The Rangers will finish the Duncanville Panther Invitational on Saturday with a pair of games. Jesuit will begin the last day of competition with an 11 a.m. first pitch against Mansfield Lake Ridge before battling tournament host Duncanville at 2 p.m.
