The Jesuit Dallas baseball team will begin district play with a 16-0 record, as the Rangers finished the non-district tournament season as the lone unbeaten team in UIL Class 6A with a 7-4 win over Lake Travis on Saturday in Leander.

Brayden Montes pieced together a dazzling performance, notching the win while striking out 11 batters during a complete game outing. Montes did not allow an earned run en route to the victory.

Jesuit will return to Dallas/Fort Worth to begin UIL District 7-6A play. The Rangers will open on the road against J.J. Pearce in a contest that will take place on Tuesday, Mar. 12 at 7 p.m. at J.J. Pearce H.S.
