Jesuit Dallas Topples South Grand Prairie in UIL Bi-District Round

Jesuit Dallas senior Jack Bradshaw scored in the 35th minute on a penalty kick, providing the difference in a 1-0 win over South Grand Prairie in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Region I-6A Bi-District Round on Monday evening at Joy and Ralph Ellis Stadium.

The Rangers out-shot the Warriors, 15-8 and sent five shots on target compared to two by South Grand Prairie. Senior goalkeeper Reid McMillan secured a pair of saves, sophomore Cooper McGough attempted three shots on goal while senior Matthew Sucato had an attempt on target as well.

The Jesuit defensive line, which included Bradshaw, senior George Horvat, junior Hudson Thomas, junior Mario Zamora, senior Caleb Fisher and senior Mario Parra kept the Warriors in check all night while the Jesuit forward and midfield contingent, including juniors Clyde Araiza, Octavio Monjaras, Noah McGough and senior Reese Garner, kept the ball in motion and generated quality chances throughout the night.

Jesuit will advance to the UIL Area Round, where they will match up against either Allen or Flower Mound Marcus. The Eagles and Marauders will meet on Tuesday to determine Jesuit's next opponent.
