Powered by another stellar team pitching performance, Jesuit Dallas completed a two-game sweep of MacArthur with a 3-0 victory over the Cardinals on Monday at Wright Field.
 
Junior Brayden Montes secured his third win of the season, striking out nine batters and allowing no runs on six hits over six innings of work. Senior Jaxx Rigelsky secured his second save of the year, hurling the seventh inning and striking out one of the four batters he faced. Sophomore James Jorgensen and Taylor Haddock each drove in a run, while sophomore Braxton Barber led the team with a 2-for-2 performance from the plate.
 
The Rangers opened the matchup with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first. Sophomore Braxton Barber led off the contest with a single to center, scoring on a sacrifice fly from sophomore James Jorgensen to give the Rangers an early lead. Sophomore Shane Parker scored on a throwing error by the Cardinals to spot the Blue and Gold a second run. A double to center by sophomore Taylor Haddock plated Jorgensen for Jesuit's third run of the contest.
 
Jesuit will face a tight turnaround, as the Rangers will open a two-game series against Richardson on Tuesday at Wright Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
