The Jesuit Dallas baseball team powered past Richardson on Tuesday, upending the Eagles, 11-1 to secure its 12th district win of the season. With a playoff spot secured, Jesuit Dallas will conclude the regular season on Friday at Richardson before learning of its playoff destination and opponent.
Junior
Jake Fults led the charge for the Rangers, going 3-for-3 from the plate with three RBI and two runs scored. Fults launched a two-run single to center in the bottom of the first that scored sophomores
Shane Parker and
Braxton Barber before sending a double to left center to plate Parker once again.
Barber would finish the game 2-for-3 with two runs scored while Parker, sophomores
James Jorgensen and
Taylor Haddock alongside junior
Fulton Lawrence and senior
Tristen Bird each secured one hit. Junior
Asher Levy earned his eighth win of the season and remained unbeaten on the year with an eight-strikeout complete game performance, allowing one run on five hits and two walks.
First pitch on Friday is scheduled for 7 p.m. The Rangers currently trail Highland Park by one game for second in District 7-6A, as the Scots dropped a 5-0 decision to J.J. Pearce on Tuesday.
