The Jesuit Dallas baseball team secured its 30th win of the regular season and the second seed in District 7-6A on Saturday with a dominant, 12-1, six-inning win over Highland Park on Saturday at Scotland Yard. The Rangers will move on to battle Arlington H.S. in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Region I-6A Tournament.

Jesuit maintained steady pressure throughout the contest, scoring one or more runs in all but one of the six innings played. Sophomore
Taylor Haddock led the charge with a 3-for-3 performance, racking up five RBI on the afternoon. Sophomore
James Jorgensen and junior
Jake Fults also scattered three hits apiece, as each drove in a run while Fults crossed the plate a team-high three times. Junior
Fulton Lawrence drove in two runs while additional RBI were collected by seniors
Tristen Bird and
Nathan Robles.

Junior
Brayden Montes earned his fourth win of the season with a complete game three-hitter, allowing one run and one walk while striking out six batters. Jesuit was relentless on the base paths, stealing eight bases against the Scots, including two apiece from Jorgensen and Fults alongside additional stolen bases from Haddock, sophomore
Shane Parker, sophomore
Hudson Yobp and senior
Cameron Davis.

The Rangers will take on Arlington H.S. beginning on Thursday in the bi-district round. The Colts closed out district play with a 17-12-1 record and will end the regular season on Monday with a non-district playoff tune-up against Weatherford. Game one is currently set for 7 p.m. at Arlington H.S.
