The 2024 Jesuit Dallas season ended on Friday, May 10 as the Flower Mound Jaguars, the top-ranked team in Texas, eliminated the Rangers from the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Region I-6A Tournament. Flower Mound defeated Jesuit, 3-1, in the first game of the series at Wright Field on Thursday night before securing a 10-0 win over the Blue and Gold in game two of the series on Friday evening.

Thursday's contest saw Jesuit Dallas secure an early, 1-0 lead in the top of the first, as junior
E'Mar Fleming II forced a bases loaded walk to score sophomore
Shane Parker. Flower Mound scored three unanswered runs to close out the contest, despite a stellar performance from junior pitcher
Brayden Montes. On the mound, Montes threw five innings, striking out six and allowing three runs on five hits. Junior
Jake Fults struck out two batters over one inning of work while senior
Joe Allen threw a scoreless seventh. Parker logged a double in the bottom of the second to put the Rangers in position to score another key run, but the Jaguars were able to eliminate the threat.

On Friday, sophomore
Taylor Haddock was Jesuit's first base runner of the ball game, earning a one-out walk and stealing second to move into scoring position, but did not score. Senior
Tristen Bird was hit by a pitch to lead off the third, and sophomore
Hudson Yobp pinch ran for Bird and moved to third after sacrifice bunts from senior
Cameron Davis and sophomore
Braxton Barber, but once again the Jaguars were able to hold the Rangers in Check.

Gavin Hickey collected Jesuit's first base hit of the contest in the top of the fifth and moved to second on a balk, but Flower Mound was once again able to hold the Rangers without a run. Junior
Dillon Brandt was named the starter for game two and threw 2.2 innings on the mound, striking out four batters. Senior
Jaxx Rigelsky took over in the third and went 1.2 innings, striking out three hitters before senior
Will Whitehead closed out the contest.

Jesuit Dallas finished the 2023 season with a 32-6 record, placing second in District 7-6A with a 13-3 mark in league play. The Rangers opened the year with a 16-0 record, the best start under the tenure of head coach
Brian Jones, and hit the 30-win mark in the regular season for the first time under Jones's leadership with a 12-1 win over Highland Park in a seeding tiebreaker.
