Jesuit's crew team jump-started the 2024-25 campaign with the first annual Ranger Two-Step Regatta, held on Saturday, September 14 on White Rock Lake.
 
Head Coach Eli Brown was able to use the regatta as an opportunity to showcase the Rangers' full roster ahead of the team's first competition of the season. All team members competed in either the Youth 2- event, the Youth 4+ event or the Youth 8+ event. 
 
"I'm incredibly proud of how our athletes handled the challenging conditions at the Ranger Two Step Regatta," commented Brown. "Their focus, resilience, and determination showed just how committed they are to pushing the program forward."
 
The Ranger pairings of senior Billy Fowler and sophomore Owen Kubalak won the Youth 2- event, followed by the duo of sophomores Aaron Roy and Noah Fahrenbruch, who finished second. Junior Gabe Gerik and junior Samuel Kephart rounded out the top three in the event.
 
Jesuit will continue the preseason on Saturday, September 14 as the Rangers will host a joint practice with Texas A&M University, racing the Aggies on White Rock Lake. The Rangers 2024-25 season will start in earnest on October 4, when the Rangers compete at the Head of the Oklahoma in Oklahoma City.
