Basketball Buries 19 Three-Pointers, Secures Road Win Over MacArthur

Jesuit Dallas erupted for 19 three-pointers, shooting 62.2 percent from the floor and 67.9 percent from behind the arc en route to an 83-62 win over MacArthur on Friday in Irving.
 
Junior Cooper Jensen hit eight three-pointers, the most in a single game since the 2020-21 season, to finish the bout with 24 points. Jensen's total matched senior Caleb Steger, who hit six three-pointers of his own to match a career high and turned in his own 24-point outing while securing 10 rebounds for a double-double. 
 
Senior Michael Grant added eight points, senior Aidan Hunt scored six points, and the trio of junior William Alexander, senior Kevin Butera and senior Charlie Peters picked up five points apiece. Steger and Grant tied for the team lead with five assists and two steals apiece while junior Nick Pregler and senior Ethan Mahowald each secured a block.
 
Jesuit will return to the hardwood on Tuesday, traveling to Richardson H.S. for a key district showdown against the Eagles at 7 p.m. The Rangers will then return to Walsh Gym for the first time since January 14 on Friday, January 31 to battle Berkner.
