COPPELL, Texas - The Jesuit basketball team suffered a 65-54 loss at Coppell on Tuesday night.
Jesuit (0-2) shot 48 percent and played to within three points in the fourth quarter before ultimately dropping the contest by 11. The Rangers finished with 36 points in the paint.
Pierce Popelka and
Colin Grant each had 14 points to lead the Ranger offense.
Justin Fern had seven points and a game-high seven rebounds.
Nick Pregler also had seven points.
Coppell (2-0) shot 43 percent made 15 3-pointers to maintain its lead throughout the game. Sibu Socks made three triples on his way to a game-high 19 points.
Jesuit will return to action this Friday when they welcome Rowlette (2-0) to Walsh Gym for the home opener. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m.
