Jesuit Dallas secured a return trip to the Texas Boys' High School Volleyball (TBHSV) Tournament in jaw-dropping fashion, storming back from a two-set deficit to upend the Red River Rattlers in five sets (21-25, 15-25, 25-15, 25-21, 18-16) on Tuesday at Walsh Gym. The Rangers will meet Vista Ridge in the second state semifinal on Friday, May 2 at 8 p.m. in Rockwall.

The Rangers withstood a Rattlers' offense that hit a .419 clip in the first set and defended well in the second set before flipping the script during the third. Jesuit was paced by 19 service aces, including six by Miles McGovern, four from sophomore
Daniel Shao and four from
Eli Garza, and a high-powered offensive performance led by 18 kills from Garza, who also hit a .245 clip for the Rangers. Jesuit added 10 blocks on the evening, including seven assisted blocks by sophomore
Dashel Glasgow and six blocks from Garza.

Defensively, McGovern led the team with 13 digs, followed by 12 digs from Shao as junior
Cash Ramirez led the team with 39 assists on the night.
