DALLAS - The Jesuit basketball team responded from a tough loss less than 24 hours earlier with a solid 57-45 win over MacArthur at Walsh Gym on Friday.
Pierce Popelka had 22 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals to lead the Blue and Gold.
Justin Fern had 15 as he and
Andrew Eakes both made three 3-pointers.
Jesuit (12-13, 5-4) shot 41 percent and hit their season average of seven 3-pointers. The Rangers were especially active on the glass, outrebounding the Cardinals 40-25 and using 14 offensive boards to score 22 second chance points.
Jesuit led 23-17 at the half and pulled away late, using a 20-12 final eight minutes to split the season series with MacArthur.Â
The Rangers will return to play on Tuesday when they play host to Richardson at 7 p.m.
