RICHARDSON, Texas -
James Jorgensen scored on a
Nate Iannariello bunt in the eighth inning to help Jesuit Dallas defeat J.J. Pearce, 3-2, in a District 7-6A battle at Mustang Ballpark on Tuesday.
Jorgensen and
Hudson Voss combined for 20 strikeouts on the mound for Jesuit (11-6-2, 3-0). Jorgensen fanned 14 in five innings while allowing two runs (one unearned) on two hits. Taylor Haddock doubled and scored on a Jorgensen single, and then tying it in the sixth on a
Charlie Wilson pinch-hit RBI that scored
Hudson Yobp.Â
Brooks Hale suffered the loss for the Mustangs, throwing the final three innings after left hander Noah Joseph allowed one run on a hit and four walks in five innings. Pearce (10-8, 2-1) finished with five hits compared to seven for Jesuit.
