IRVING, Texas - Senior
James Jorgensen struck out 14 and threw his second-consecutive no-hitter in a 10-0 road win over Nimitz at The Shipyard on Tuesday evening.
Jorgensen (5-0) walked three and struck out the side four times. He also ended the game with five-straight Ks. At the plate, he was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. He has a 6-game hitting streak with 2 hits in five of those.
Senior
Taylor Haddock went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Senior lead off
Braxton Barber had three hits and scored twice with an RBI. The top four hitters in the lineup combined for 10 hits, six runs and seven RBI.
The Rangers scored four in the third and three in both the fourth anf fifth innings.
Jesuit is now 23-6-2 overall and 13-0 in District 7-6A. Nimitz drops to 11-14 and 3-9.
The teams will meet on Friday night at Jesuit's Wright Field. The Rangers will recognize their 15 seniors immediately following the junior varsity game.
