OATMEAL, Texas - Jesuit Dallas sophomores Austin Dourty and Wesley Tavares posted solid performances at the Texas State Road Race Championships on Saturday.

Both Rangers competed in the 40-mile, Category 4 (JV) race. After the 3 laps it came down to a field sprint where Dourty finished 16th and Tavares came across for 21st.

This caps off their first full season and year of road racing with a solid performance for both. It shows significant growth from not being able to keep up in the 2 lap ~27-mile cat 5 (Novice) race just one year ago.
