A pair of 21-point performances helped push Jesuit Dallas to a 69-59 win over Berkner on Jan. 2 in Richardson, Texas. The Rangers continue their unbeaten start to district play with the win, earning their fourth road district victory of the year to set the stage for a five-game homestand.

Juniors Michael Steger and
Caleb Steger each scored 21 points for the Rangers, as Grant shot 10-of-14 from the field, and Steger went 6-of-11, hitting four three-pointers in the victory. Jesuit's scoring column was completed by eight points from senior
Hank Gramlich, six points from seniors
Justin Kemp and
Tre Mergerson, five points from senior
Alec Piotrowski and two points from junior
Ethan Mahowald. Kemp and Grant notched four assists apiece while Grant led the team with three blocks and three steals.

The Rangers scored 44 points in the paint, 16 points off of 13 Berkner turnovers, and 16 second chance points off of 15 offensive rebounds. Jesuit also excelled in the second half, putting the pressure on the Rams by shooting 81 percent from the floor (17-of-21) and 62.5 percent from three-point range (5-of-8).
