Dalton Walters '16
A rising star on the U.S. Olympic Development Team, Dalton Walters was part of four consecutive Texas High School Cycling League (THSCL) State Championship teams and was a member of a squad that was named the 2013-14 USA Cycling Team of the Year. A two-time individual high school state champion, Walters competed in the 2016 USA MU19 Cycling Amateur Road Nationals, finishing 86th in the road race and 57th in criterium.

Racing for national power Colorado Mesa University, Walters posted four top-five finishes at the College Track National Championships, including a second-place national finish in 2019. In 2020, he helped lead CMU to the 2020 omnium title as the top collegiate cycling program in the country. Walters was invited to be part of the U.S. Olympic Development Program for Track in early 2020, and in 2022, competed for Team USA in the Pan American Track Cycling Championships. That experience jump-started an awards-filled career that continues today as Walters takes aim at the 2028 Olympic Games.

Earning two gold medals at the 2023 USA Cycling Elite National Championships, including an individual title in the men's keirin, Walters was part of a team that won gold in the team sprint at the 2024 USA Cycling Elite & Para Cycling Track National Championships before adding a staggering eight national titles over the past two years. Walters finished first at nationals in the men's sprint, the men's kilometer time trial, the men's keirin, and men's team sprint events in 2025, and then repeated a sweep of those events in summer 2026. Finishing second overall by nine one-hundredths of a second in the 1K time trial at the 2026 Pan American Track Cycling Championships, Walters competed for the first time in the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) World Cup in spring 2026, finishing 16th overall against the top sprinters in the world and 21st overall in the keirin.
