Bill Taylor was a four-year letterman for the Jesuit football program, and played a key role in helping the Rangers secure four consecutive TCIL State Championships. In 1959, he served as team captain for a squad that posted the first undefeated, untied record in School history.

A dominating running back, Taylor was selected as team MVP following his senior season. He led the team in scoring and rushing, and was selected to the All-Greater Dallas team. Following both his junior and senior years, Taylor earned TCIL All-State honors.

Taylor attended the University of Denver and was a starter on the University’s freshman football team. When Denver decided to terminate its football program, he transferred to Texas A&M. An attorney by trade, Taylor served as a Texas high school football official for over 40 years.
