Adrian Winnubst was a four-year starter and letterman for Jesuit soccer. Helping lead the Rangers to three consecutive TCIL State Championships, Winnubst paced Jesuit to an unprecedented fourth straight state championship appearance in 1981 under the tutelage of first-year head coach Charlie DeLong. Despite Jesuit losing its bid for a fourth consecutive crown to Central Catholic (San Antonio) in penalty kicks, Winnubst secured his second straight All-American honor following the season.
A three-time All-State and All-District selection, Winnubst was awarded a full scholarship to Sam Houston State University where he led the team in scoring for four consecutive years while leading the Bearkats to their highest ever Division II ranking.
