Jimmy Archie was a seven-time letterwinner at Jesuit Dallas in football and baseball. He earned TCIL All-State honors in both sports and was a member of the undefeated 1991 TCIL State Championship football team. The team finished the season ranked No. 2 in the Dallas Morning News Class 4A-Others poll.

Archie served as captain of the football and baseball teams as a senior, and was honored with the Leo F. Ostdick Award that recognizes the graduating senior that best combines academic and athletic achievement.

After graduating from Jesuit, Archie attended Princeton University, where he played strong safety on the football team and helped lead the Tigers to the 1995 Ivy League Championship. In 1996, Archie served as captain of the Princeton football team and was the recipient of the Ronald A. Rogerson Award, which recognizes the team member whose spirit and love of the game inspires others. Archie was a two-time All-Ivy League selection and was named to Vanity Fair magazine’s 1996 Ivy League All-Star team.
