Hall of Fame
In the final race of his Ranger athletic career, four-year varsity letterman Paul Linehan captured the 300-meter intermediate hurdles crown and broke the state record in the process, an accomplishment book-ending a senior year that had already seen Linehan , a two-year varsity letterman in football, recognized as the 1971 All-Private Offensive Player of the Year.
After graduating from Jesuit, Linehan, who was the captain for both the track and football teams, received the School’s scholar-athlete of the year award, and accepted a four-year scholarship to the University of Notre Dame. During his time with the Irish, he was part of Notre Dame’s undefeated 1973 national championship team.
