A four-year letterman in both football and basketball, Pat Lindley earned TCIL All-State recognition in both sports as a senior. Lindley played three years on the varsity basketball team that experienced “the curse” of losing the infamous 1964 state championship, 18-17, to Central Catholic (San Antonio) in a four-quarter stall game. An All-District and All-State selection after the 1965 season, it was a pair of awards he replicated from the football campaign.
