Hayden Meshell '13
The Jesuit Dallas hockey team has rapidly emerged as one of the top teams in Texas, winning eight of its 10 state titles over the past 13 years. The Rangers' ascension as one of the state's elite programs, which has included a pair of USA Hockey National Quarterfinal appearances, began as forward Hayden Meshell laid the foundation with a dazzling career that first propelled Jesuit Dallas into the national spotlight.

Starting on the right side of Jesuit's top line, Meshell was the driving force behind the Rangers' historic 2013 season that ended with a program record for wins (24-2-1), the Texas Amateur Hockey Association (TAHA) State Championship, and Jesuit's first invitation to the USA Hockey High School National Championships. One season after helping to guide the Dallas Oilers to the USA Hockey 18U Tier II National Championship, Meshell paced the Rangers by scoring 33 goals and adding 26 assists and delivered a multi-point performance in the title game as Jesuit upended two-time defending state champion Plano West, 4-2. He was named the AT&T Metroplex League High School Offensive Player of the Year at the conclusion of the season.

A three-time AT&T Metroplex Texas All-Star, Meshell lit the lamp 92 times and added 57 assists during his Jesuit career. Finishing his career with 149 points, he still holds the school records for most career points and goals. Meshell retired as a player after enrolling at the University of Arkansas but is now a USA Hockey certified coach.
