Jesuit Dallas Athletics

It was his days at Holy Trinity that Joe Boyd Neuhoff became a member of the Dallas Athletic Club boxing team. Although he was especially anxious to play football at Jesuit under head coach Lank Smith, Neuhoff, who was also a superb center and nose guard for the Rangers, was the prime mover behind the formation of Jesuit’s only boxing team.

Neuhoff organized the program and coached the team during his junior and senior years, taking the team to the Southwest AAU, where it placed third both years, and earning for himself state runner-up honors as the School’s premier light heavyweight boxer.
