John Reynolds, who graduated summa cum laude from Jesuit Dallas, was a three-year letterman and standout on the Ranger soccer team. During his career, Jesuit won three TCIL State Championships while losing only one game. A two-time team captain (1988-89), Reynolds was named the team’s MVP as well as Parade Magazine All-American his senior year.

After graduating, Reynolds attended SMU on an athletic scholarship and helped lead the Mustangs to the NCAA Division I tournament four years in a row. The team narrowly missed out on the Final Four, losing twice in the Elite 8 on penalties (Indiana, 1991; Duke, 1992). Reynolds started 81 of 82 games, totaling 24 goals and 31 assists while serving as the 1991-92 team captain. In 1993, he was honored with the Presidential Award of Excellence for academic and athletic achievement. Reynolds went on to play semi-professionally for FC Dallas and Richardson Rockets of the USISL.
